About Great Heights School

Our Journey Since 1997

Founded in 1997, Great Heights School has established itself as one of Kyrgyzstan's most respected institutions of higher learning. Located in Bishkek, our university was established by the decree of the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Education with the mission to provide world-class education that bridges Eastern and Western academic traditions.

In its early years, GHS started with just two faculties and 340 students. Today, we have grown to encompass seven faculties with over 4,200 students from 28 countries, creating a vibrant multicultural learning environment.

Over the past 27 years, GHS has developed a reputation for academic excellence, innovative research, and preparing graduates who contribute meaningfully to society. Our campus spans 35 hectares and houses 7 academic buildings, 3 student dormitories, a modern library with over 250,000 volumes, and advanced research facilities.

Integrated K-12 Education: In 2005, GHS pioneered an innovative integrated education model by establishing our K-12 division, creating a seamless educational pathway from elementary through university level. This unique approach allows students to benefit from university-level resources, faculty expertise, and research facilities from an early age. All K-12 students receive ghs.edu.kg email addresses, integrating them into our unified academic community and preparing them for higher education success.

Key milestones in our history include:

  • 1997: Founding of Great Heights School with faculties of Economics and Social Sciences
  • 2003: Addition of the Faculty of Information Technology
  • 2005: Establishment of GHS K-12 Division with integrated email system
