The academic year at GHS consists of two semesters (Fall and Spring) and an optional Summer session. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific dates.
Students must register for courses during the designated registration periods. Registration is conducted through the Student Portal. Students are advised to consult with their academic advisors before registering for courses.
The standard course load for full-time undergraduate students is 15-18 credit hours per semester. Graduate students typically take 9-12 credit hours per semester. Students wishing to take more than the maximum credit hours must obtain approval from their academic advisor and the Dean of their faculty.
GHS uses a letter grading system with corresponding grade points:
Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 to remain in good academic standing. Students whose GPA falls below 2.0 will be placed on academic probation. Students on probation for two consecutive semesters may be subject to academic dismissal.
Regular attendance is expected in all courses. Students who miss more than 25% of class sessions may receive a failing grade for the course, regardless of their academic performance. Specific attendance requirements may vary by course and instructor.
